The Great Day of Yahweh

1 “ ^{▼▼Ch 3:19 in Heb}For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every worker of wickedness will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them aflame,” says Yahweh of hosts, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.” 2 “But for you who ^{▼▼Or reverence(d)}fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall. 3 And you will tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day ^{▼▼Or when I act}which I am preparing,” says Yahweh of hosts.

4 “ ^{▼▼Ch 3:22 in Heb}Remember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and judgments which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.

5 “Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yahweh. 6 And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land, ^{▼▼Or with a curse, with the ban}devoting it to destruction.”
